Pre-K Program
Each learner will attend Ignite on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30-3:00 during the 2022-2023 school year. At this age the focus will be on learning through play. We will use "My Father's World" curriculum to guide our activities. In the Pre-K program, children will gain academic-readiness skills with the alphabet and numbers, enjoy read-aloud times, develop fine and large motor skills, and increase in cognitive skills.
Most importantly, children learn God's truth and are encouraged to live it in their lives.
K-5th Grade Program
Each learner will attend Ignite on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30-3:00 during the 2022-2023 school year. We will have our first class K-1st grade (6-7 years), our second class 2nd-3rd grade (8-9 years), and our last class 4th-5th grade (9-10 years) with a maximum of 15 students per class.
At Ignite we have three gifted and talented teachers who will be rotating through each of these classes teaching the subjects that they are most gifted in. The subjects that will be taught at the center will be Worship/Bible, Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Reading Lab, and German. The learners will stay in the class as the teachers rotate to each of the classes. We believe that by doing this that each teacher will be able to know each of the learners and the teachers will be able to collaborate with one another about each individual learner.
At Ignite we know that parents who are choosing to homeschool do not all come in the same shape and size. We know that we will have seasoned homeschool families and families just learning about homeschooling. That is why we are offering two options to help come alongside your unique family.
K-5th Opt-Out
This option will allow your student to come to Ignite for group learning. The Parent/Caregiver will continue at-home education using their chosen curriculum. The parent/caregiver will choose to grade and be on their own learning schedule with no assistance from the Ignite staff. Their child is attending Ignite Learning Center to have the group learning experience with other peers their age. The Parent/Caregiver can choose whether or not to have parent-teacher conferences.
K-5th Opt-In
This option will allow your student to come to Ignite for group learning. The Parent/Caregiver will continue at-home education with the curriculum provided by Ignite Learning Center using the Good and Beautiful curriculum for Language Arts, Math, and Handwriting. The Parent/Caregiver and the individual learner will be given assignments from their homeroom teacher throughout each week. The student will bring their assigned work back to their homeroom teacher and the teacher will check their work, but not grade it. At Ignite we believe in growth over grades. You may as the parent choose to grade the course. At home, you will focus on the three main subjects Language Arts, Math, and Handwriting. In addition to these subjects, all other subjects will be taught at the center.
We look forward to seeing you in the Fall.
